Taylor Swift, Tom Hiddleston Couple's whirlwind romance comes to an end

After three months of dating, Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have called their whirlwind romance quits.

A source reveals to Us Weekly that the 26-year-old singer is behind the split saying, "She was the one to put the brakes on the relationship. Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was

comfortable with. Taylor knew the backlash that comes with public displays of affection but Tom didn't listen to her concerns when she brought them up."

Following the split, the source reveals that Hiddleston is "embarrassed that the relationship fizzled out."

Although things had started out hot and heavy for the pair after they were pictured kissing at the beach in Rhode Island, things quickly became strained especially after the Hollywood actor travelled to Australia where he is currently filming "Thor 3."

The pair had their first fight in August, with a source close to the couple explaining to Us Weekly, "It was an intense start. No one can keep that kind of momentum going."

Right now, the source concludes, "They get along great and will remain friends, but they just don't see it working romantically right now."
