Goodluck Jonathan EFCC arrests ex-president’s aide, Hassan Tukur in abuja for corruption

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a former Principal Private Secretary to ex-president, Goodluck JonathanHassan Tukur.

Tukur was arrested by EFCC agents in Abuja on Monday, May 16, 2016, according to Premium Times.

The former Jonathan aide is said to still be in the agency’s custody and is one of many officials of the pas administration who have been arrested on corruption allegations.
The first official who was arrested was former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki who is alleged to have supervised the laundering of $2 billion.
Former petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke is also being investigated and is alleged to have personally supervised the looting of $6 billion in public funds.
Other Jonathan officials who have been arrested by the EFCC include former aviation ministerFemi Fani-Kayode and former finance minister, Nenadi Usman.
